About us
Welcome to React ATL - Atlanta's community for developers building with React and modern web technologies.
We host monthly events that go beyond just code. Yes, we cover React, React Native, and the latest in the JavaScript ecosystem - but we also dive into the topics that shape your career: engineering
leadership, AI-powered workflows, security best practices, and navigating the tech job market.
Our events take many forms. Some months feature deep technical talks on testing, architecture, or animations. Others bring fireside chats with engineering leaders or hands-on workshops on AI tools. We also make time for what matters most - connecting with fellow developers over good food and conversation at our social events and holiday parties.
We're part of Atlanta's broader tech community, regularly partnering with Modern Web, AtlantaJS, VueATL, and REFACTR.TECH to bring you diverse perspectives and bigger events.
Stay connected: Follow us on Bluesky https://bsky.app/profile/reactatl.dev for event updates, and join our https://discord.gg/6whjwYTRjj to keep the conversation going between meetups.
Whether you're looking to level up technically, grow as a leader, or simply find your people in Atlanta's tech scene - you're welcome here.

"Exploring Pi Coding Agent"
Description: I have been a Claude Code user for over a year, but recently found myself asking questions about how my coding harness worked and if I could customize it like I have my text editor. This led me on a journey to explore several open-source agents and eventually to choose Pi. I have been using Pi with GPT-5.5 for several weeks now, and in this talk, I will explain why this is my preferred coding agent, how I customize it, what customizations I have made, and how you can get started yourself.Kiah Tolliver - Senior Developer Advocate at LocalStack
