Dr. Viktoria Korzhova, VP & COO at Product People
User Research – Best Practices & Continuous Discovery
Viktoria will talk about the different approaches to User Research and Discovery that Product Managers can take, from surveys to usability tests and interviews. Looking at several case studies from different organizations in both the B2B and B2C context, we will discuss which of these approaches are most suited for different product research questions and when they are just a waste of time.

Bio:
Dr. Viktoria Korzhova, CEO & VP of Product at Product People, has a PhD in Neuroscience and 9+ years of Product & Project Management experience. She has worked with both B2B and B2C products in different industries including fintech, mobility, e-commerce, digital health/ wellness, travel, edtech, real estate, etc. She has experience leading multiple cross-functional teams to drive high-impact initiatives and grow Product Managers to become Product Leaders.

Design Accessible Products
For many industries, Accessibility is nowadays a legal imposition and many product teams see this as a technical compliance problem. More than 10% of the population has some kind of impediment that affects their access to websites or applications and this number tends to increase with the older population having longer life expectancies. And these are typically the ones who have more purchasing power. In this talk, Bruno will explain how Accessibility is not a technical problem, but a Design problem that must be incorporated into the product development cycle. Because designing something that everyone can use also makes business sense.

Bio:
One of the pioneers of Web Design in Portugal, he has more than three decades of experience in the industry. Founded Xperienz in 2005, one of the first national consultants dedicated to User Experience. He was President Founder of APPU, co-founder of the SHIFT Conference, and founder and curator of UXLx: User Experience Lisbon. He is the author of the book "Web Design" (FCA, 2002) and currently teaches at Porto Business School and IADE.
