Our Safe Space is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers feminine energy in any form, fostering growth and resilience by providing a positive space where everyone can thrive through self-discovery and community.
This nonprofit and is founded and led by Gayla Gongwer, a seasoned educator, trainer, and facilitator, who brings decades of experience and energy to her work. Born in Kentucky, she earned her degree in social psychology from Illinois State University before venturing west of the Mississippi in 1979 – and has gratefully avoided living in winter ever since.
Currently, Gayla is dedicated to growing her lifelong dream, "Our Safe Space," a nonprofit organization committed to helping everyone live the life of their dreams. Whatever that dream might be.
With a passion for community engagement, she currently volunteers weekly at Friends of the Library and serves on the Board & Marketing Committee. Gayla's love for literature extends beyond her volunteer work; she belongs to so many book clubs that she needs to track them on a spreadsheet.
Driven by her commitment to creating positive change and fostering inclusivity, Gayla invites you to join her in making a difference through "Our Safe Space" and beyond.

Book Description:
Author Rainee Allen had success with her first novel, but is now under a deadline to write a second one. While experiencing writer’s block, she comes across an identification card of a Holocaust survivor with whom she shares a birth date (with a thirty-year difference).Determined to find this woman and tell her story, she travels to London where Jana Lutken lives. To her sad surprise, Jana is living in a nursing home and has Alzheimer’s disease.
The sight of a young doctor serves as a trigger, and suddenly Jana is reliving the Holocaust once again. Rainee, determined to find out why this man creates terror in Jana’s eyes, innocently opens a long-kept secret and finds herself entangled in mystery, intrigue and suspense.
Lauren B. Grossman bio:
Award-winning author Lauren B. Grossman is originally from Massachusetts but now resides in Southern Arizona with her husband, two children, two dogs, and a desert tortoise.
Lauren earned a degree in theatre and has performed in, designed sets, directed and produced numerous productions.
She co-founded, co-published, and co-edited a performing arts newspaper. Because of the success of that newspaper, she and her co-publisher created a weekly radio talk show. She has had articles published and has earned awards for her short stories.
An unofficial bio:
She is a wife/mother/business manager/writer/poet/artist/past vice-president on a non-profit organization board/past actress/past producer/past set designer/and past publisher (She tends to live in the past).
She enjoys her family. She lives vicariously through her children, now in their twenties and thirties. She loves reading, writing, and horseback riding (though not at the same time). She loves the challenge of a NY Times Sunday crossword puzzle and has set a personal best of finishing the puzzle 5 times in her life. She is often found playing Sudoku in her spare time, so she can keep her brain alert (or rather, what is left of my brain) alert.

Vision Board Workshop on River Road!
Natural Grocers, 5600 E River Rd, Tucson, AZ, USVision Board Bash: Dream It, See It, Create It!
Whether you're a first-timer or a vision board veteran, this is your chance to gather with friends, get inspired, and have a little creative fun while you map out your best life. Let’s turn dreaming into doing — together.
And yes — friends, sisters, neighbors — bring ‘em along! The more, the merrier.
We’ll kick things off with some lighthearted conversation about goals, manifesting, and setting your sights on the life you want. Then it’s time to dive in and create your board — your way. There are no rules when it comes to picturing joy, success, or your next big adventure.
We’ll bring the poster board, scissors, glue, and a stash of supplies. You bring your ideas, your favorite people, and anything else you want — magazines, stickers, glitter (if that’s your jam). Or bring your laptop and make a digital board.
Make it a party. Make it a vision. Make it yours.
