About us
π¦οΈ Thereβs No Such Thing as Bad Weather β Walking & Hiking Group πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ
.........Only bad clothing choices.
Weather Warriors welcome!
This is not your typical walking/Hiking group β and thatβs very much on purpose. This group is for people who love being outside, who enjoy walking in all seasons, and who understand that weather isnβt something we wait out β itβs something we walk with. Rain, snow, wind, heat, grey skies, sunshineβ¦ this is Toronto, and this is the experience. We are weather warriors π¬οΈββοΈπ β we show up prepared, adaptable, and ready to move.
Toronto is one of the greenest cities in the world, filled with ravines, neighbourhood routes, parks, trails, and hidden gems. This group will explore 50+ walking and hiking routes across the city, always transit-accessible, always grounded in connection, movement, and shared experience.
Our walks are on the leisure side β not too slow, not too fast β designed for people who want to move their bodies and talk while doing it. This is a social walking group. By the end of a walk, the hope is that youβve met someone new, shared a conversation, or simply enjoyed being part of a group moving together.
Hereβs what makes us different π
We donβt cancel walks just because of the weather. Other groups do β we donβt. Walks go ahead rain or shine. Sometimes routes may be adjusted, shortened, or adapted based on conditions, but the expectation is simple: when you sign up, weβre going.
That means this group is best suited for people who:
π€οΈ Check the weather before they RSVP
π§₯ Know what conditions theyβre comfortable walking in
βοΈ Dress for the forecast (boots, umbrellas, layers β all welcome)
π§ Take ownership of their decision to attend
π€ Understand that an RSVP is a commitment to the group
You are always welcome to:
β Join the group and attend only the walks that suit you
β Decide on the day and show up without RSVPing
β RSVP later once youβre confident the weather meets your needs
What doesnβt work here is signing up in advance and cancelling last-minute because the weather wasnβt what you expected. When people RSVP, others plan around that β routes, pacing, safety, and the shared sense of βweβre doing this together.β That follow-through matters in this group.
Extreme or unsafe conditions (severe cold, extreme heat, dangerous wind) will always be an organizer call. This isnβt about being reckless β itβs about being prepared, realistic, and grounded.
Above all, this is a friendly, respectful, easy-going community. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is treated with care. We also respect boundaries: no unsolicited messages, no pressure, no assumptions. Connection happens naturally, on the walk.
If youβre looking for a walking group that embraces the seasons, values commitment, and believes that showing up β in life and in weather β is kind of the pointβ¦ youβre in the right place π²π£

π» Ghost Walking Tour of Queen West & Yonge Street π
Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, 145 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON, CA# π» Ghost Tour: Queen West & Yonge Street π
### Restless Spirits, Strange Stories & Toronto After Dark
The thing about ghosts isβ¦ they donβt always stay where they died.
Sometimes they linger in places they loved. Sometimes they remain where unfinished business keeps them tethered. And sometimes, apparently, they just really like a particular chair. On this walking tour, we'll explore some of the stranger stories connected to Queen West and Yonge Street β from hospitals and theatres to music halls, historic buildings, and some rather unexpected places.
Some of these people met their fate on these streets.
Most didn't.Ghosts are funny that way.
This is a curated storytelling experience, combining Toronto history, local legends, and some of the city's more unusual ghost stories.
And don't worry β we're not going inside the buildings.π± Don't forget to join our WhatsApp Group β CLICK HERE

## π» What We'll Explore
We'll begin outside the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts and make our way east toward Yonge Street.
Along the way, we'll hear stories about:- π« Don't play with gunsβ¦ again
- π βThis is my hospital,β said the Nun
- πΆ The spirit who stayed for the music
- πͺ Who sat in that chair?
- π» Other strange stories, unexplained encounters, and Toronto legends
We'll finish at Yonge-Dundas Square.
The walk will take approximately 90 minutes, depending on the pace of the group. We'll remain outdoors throughout the experience and will not be entering any buildings.
***
## π A Little About the Experience
This isn't simply a walk where someone points out a few supposedly haunted buildings.
I've researched the stories, developed the route, and brought the different pieces together into a single experience.
Some stories are rooted in Toronto history.
Some have been passed down as local legends.
And some leave you wondering whether there might actually be something to them.
You can decide what you believe. π»***

π Fall Walk of Toronto Island ππ! 9KM
Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, toronto, ON, CA# ππ FALL WALK: TORONTO ISLANDS ππ
### Island Paths, Fall Colours & Toronto's Best Urban Escape
There is something magical about the Toronto Islands in the fall.
Once the summer crowds disappear, the islands become quieter and more peaceful. The changing leaves, crisp air, open green spaces, quiet cottages, and golden light over the water make it one of the best times of year to explore.
And then there's the skyline. From the islands, you get some of the best views of Toronto anywhere in the city β especially when the fall colours frame the downtown skyline across the water.
Join us for a relaxed fall walk through Hanlan's Point, Centre Island, and Ward's Island, enjoying the scenery, fresh air, and great conversation along the way.
This is approximately 9 km, with mostly flat paths and no major hills. It's a longer walk, but the pace will be relaxed and we'll take breaks along the wayπ± Don't forget to join our WhatsApp Group β CLICK HERE

### Wildlife, Lake Views & One of Toronto's Best Fall Walks
Looking for a walk that feels like you've left the city without actually leaving Toronto?
Join us for a fall walk through Tommy Thompson Park, one of Toronto's most unique outdoor spaces.
The park is famous for its wildlife and birding, with more than 300 species recorded, as well as its beautiful views across Lake Ontario and back toward the Toronto skyline.
In the fall, the cooler air and quieter trails make this a particularly nice time to explore the park. We'll follow the trails toward the lighthouse, take a break along the way, and then make our way back. It's a long walk, but the terrain is generally easy. The goal is to enjoy the scenery, get some fresh air, and spend a few hours walking and talking with other people.

π» Ghost Tour: The Exhibition Grounds π‘
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, 10 dufferin Street, Toronto, ON, CA# π» Ghost Tour: The Exhibition Grounds π‘
### Toronto's Haunted Fairgrounds, Dark History & One Building I Don't Like Being Near
The Exhibition Grounds have spent more than a century hosting crowds, celebrations, soldiers, shows, and some of Toronto's biggest events.
But underneath all that history is a darker side. The Exhibition Grounds are said to be one of the most haunted places in Toronto β and I'll be honest: this is the one place on my ghost walks that genuinely scares me.
There's something about the atmosphere here.
Some buildings have an energy that feels different. And when you know what happened in them, it's hard not to look at them a little differently. On this evening ghost walk, we'll explore the grounds and hear stories of soldiers, settlers, performers, animals, tragedies, and people who may never have completely left.
This isn't just about trying to scare you.
It's about discovering the strange history hiding underneath one of Toronto's most familiar landmarks.π± Don't forget to join our WhatsApp Group β CLICK HERE
***
## π» What We'll Explore
We'll begin outside Medieval Times and make our way across the Exhibition Grounds toward the Princes' Gates.
Along the way, we'll hear stories connected to:- ποΈ The General Service Building
- π The Stanley Barracks β the building that genuinely creeps me out
- π The Horse Palace
- π Scadding Cabin
- π» Other strange stories, unexplained encounters, and haunted corners of the grounds
We'll finish at the Princes' Gates.
We'll keep a steady walking pace and will not be entering any of the buildings.***
## π―οΈ Why This One Is Different
I've done a lot of ghost walks around Toronto.
This is the one that actually makes me uncomfortable.
Maybe it's the history. Maybe it's the buildings. Maybe it's simply knowing what happened here and then standing there after dark.Whatever it is, the Exhibition Grounds have always felt different to me.
So come prepared for some genuinely creepy stories β and maybe a few moments where we all wonder whether we should really be standing there. π»
