About us

Looking to enjoy the great outdoors, get some fresh air, and connect with others in the community? Join the Morris County Hiking Group — a welcoming, family-friendly group led by members of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown and open to everyone!

Our hikes are designed for all experience levels, especially beginners. Each hike is easy-paced, lasts about 90 minutes, and takes place on scenic trails throughout Morris County. Whether you’re new to hiking, bringing the kids along, or just looking for a relaxed outdoor activity (we have a resident bird guru to let you know what is hear!), you’ll find a place here.

Come walk with us, explore local nature, and build friendships along the way. We’d love to have you join us on the trail!

All hikes are carried out at your own risk. Hiking can involve physical hazards and unpredictable environmental factors. By choosing to participate, you assume all responsibility for your own safety, health, and actions.

On September 30, Morristown's Forum on the Green welcomes musician and songwriter Ryan Nealon for an evening of music, storytelling, and reflection. Accompanied by Matteo Scher, Ryan will share his story of being orphaned as a child, navigating body dysmorphia and past relationships, experiencing loneliness, and finding music as a way to not only process difficult experiences, but make meaning from them. Ryan will perform original songs that bring each part of his story to life.
This evening offers an opportunity to think about the ways we all carry our stories and how music, creativity, and connection can help us process them. Through Ryan’s experiences, we’ll explore what it means to feel alone, what helps us move through difficult seasons, and how we can find connection and hope along the way. The evening will include time for audience questions and conversation, inviting us to consider our own stories and the ways we can create more belonging for ourselves and others.
