About us
Looking for a way to connect or find new people in the Michiana area? This group is for you. From hiking to meditation, we have an eclectic mix of opportunities to get out and be social.
About us Rick is your organizer and has enjoyed bringing people together since he was about seven years old. His hometown is closer to Michigan City so myself, Rhonda and many other wonderful event organizers will be creating events for this area. I am an introvert who understands the importance of a good balance of social activities and solitude.
Rhonda started organizing in 2018 while working full time and caring for her parents.
We do encourage people to host events if they would like to, there are just a few guidelines for that. We already have several event organizer who offer different events to bring more opportunities to get out and be social. We don’t have a lot of rules just remember to be patient and kind to one another. Be social, ask the members questions about themselves.
When we are in nature, we encourage everyone to make space for silence. It’s about being social but also enjoying nature. Be present.
We are an offshoot of Rick’s group, if you are not already a member. They have a lot of wonderful events.

please join us for breakfast at the historic Turkey Run Inn, before a magnificent hike on some of the best trails of the best state park in Indiana.
i made this a separate event partly to make it easier to keep track of who is coming for breakfast, and who is just joining us afterwards to hike. please sign up for each independently.
we will meet at the reception desk of the Turkey Run Inn restaurant at 10:00 AM EDT (that's Eastern time, remember) for breakfast. if you don't find us, call me at 773-415-0428, or come to the restaurant and ask for Rick Malkowski's table.
if you have symptoms of, or have recently tested positive for Covid-19, or any other contagious disease, please DO NOT ATTEND.
after, we will gather on the front steps of the Inn to meet the others who are coming just for the hiking event.
Erin will be leading the hike on a route of her choosing to be announced.
