Join us for a practical acting workshop that delves into scene analysis and character exploration. Many actors rush to performance — but skipping scene analysis and proper character work can mean missing the heart of a scene. In this session, we will explore the essential (and often overlooked) step of breaking down a scene, then getting on your feet and going through a series of exercises. You will then apply what you've learned - bringing the scene to life through performance which can be taped on the phone in class. A scene will be sent a day in advance. Through practical tools, and guided exercises, we’ll help you uncover what drives each character, different ways to deliver the scene and how thoughtful analysis leads to truthful, compelling choices. Whether you’re an actor, writer, or director, this workshop will give you a deeper understanding of story, sharpen your interpretive skills, and elevate your creative work.

AAA Hiking are excited to announce our second trip to this stunning island! **We invite you to explore the best beaches in Italy, easy-moderate scenic hikes of 5-8 km with coastal views and 360-degree summits, unique Sardinian culture, and tasty local food!** The middle of June is an ideal time for the trip when the sea is already warm, the air is not too hot for walking, and the tourist boats are running to the famous beaches. Some of them are not easy to reach on foot unless you hike for a long time on the rocky limestone terrain. **[Here are the October 2025 event photos](https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1572050270902890&type=3)** **Discover the Untamed Beauty of Eastern Sardinia with AAA Hiking.** Stretching for kilometres along the turquoise embrace of the Mediterranean, the eastern coast of Sardinia is a breathtaking blend of golden cliffs and secluded, low-lying beaches. Here, nature reigns supreme. In the heart of the Supramonte mountains, goats, sheep, donkeys, and wild boar roam freely through forests of strawberry trees, holly oaks, and ancient oaks. Overhead, the majestic royal eagle soars, nesting on the highest peaks and guarding this pristine paradise. The ancient Greeks called it **olbìa - ‘happiness’**. It is the gateway to the island and the driving force behind the economy of the Gallura area. Many flights arrive there, and it is a good town to stay in and explore before or after the trip. After the pick-up, we will take you to the Porto Taverna beach for your first swim and lunch. There is a high chance you may see flamingos there in the freshwater lakes, located close to the beach. We will make our way to the accommodation in Cala Ganone in the afternoon. The exact itinerary of the following days features the highlights listed above and will be shared with attendees closer to the day. Every day is planned with care and adjusted according to the most recent weather forecast. **LOCATION** We will be based in Cala Gonone, a seaside town, rising up from the Golfo di Orosei. We’ll hike through history and countryside, arriving in time for the famous Stonehenge solstice atmosphere. When we reach Stonehenge, you decide how you’d like to celebrate: 1. **Head back to London straight away** * Taxi/shuttle back to Salisbury (\~30 min), evening trains to London until \~23:00. 2. **Stay for Sunset (21:22)** * Enjoy the atmosphere and watch the sun dip behind the Heel Stone. * After sunset, return to Salisbury for late train to London. 3. **Stay Overnight for Sunrise (04:44, 21 June)** * Experience the stones at dawn — a unique spiritual moment. * Field closes \~08:00; first trains to London from Salisbury \~05:00 onwards. We will be checking out Rooftop East in style with 3 different activities you can play there, as well as play more if people wish. **Activities** 1\. Baseball Batting Cages Get in loser, we're playing ball ⚾ Swing your troubles away in our sky-high, state-of-the-art batting cages, complete with lightning-quick pitches and an adjustable speed-o-meter. Can you hit a home run?! 2\. Arrows \(Archery\) Move over Legolas. Take a hike, Hawkeye. Impress us & your mates with your sharp-shooting skills by hitting the target at Arrows. It's harder than it looks! 3\. Glitter Bowls Traditional bowls gets a funky makeover this year. Play according to 'The OG' or 'Shiny, Disco Bowls' rules, or make your own rules.Think big. **WHAT TO EXPECT - HIKING INFO** Distance: **25km** (c. 15 miles) Ascent: c. **585m** Estimated Duration (approx): **7 hours walking (moderate pace 4km/hr)** Difficulty: **Energetic** **HIGHLIGHT** · Great views from Amberley Mount and Rackman Hill · Undulating paths over the downs heading south towards Worthing · Slow ascents and descents on remote paths away from South Downs Way · Visit the ancient and most historic hill fort in Sussex – The Cissbury Ring. · Optional sea swim at the end! **DESCRIPTION** *This walk is on paths less travelled over South Downs rolling hills with fantastic views along the way. There is an optional sea swim at the end for those who want to cool off after a good day’s walk.* This is a beautiful part of the south downs with fantastic views and rolling hills - and with some neolithic and bronze age history along our way. We start our walk in Amberley as we head up our first hill onto the South Downs to Rackman Hill for fantastic views looking north towards the North Downs – hopefully we will have good views on the day. We then head south over rolling hills and forlorn paths, meeting locals who know the less travelled parts of the south downs. I have chosen a route which meanders past other settlement hills and hopefully with views over to the sea. We pass Finden for a refreshment stop after 14km (no pub stops before then). We then head over to Cissbury Ring – the oldest hill fort on the South Downs Way. It boasts much history - a neolithic flint mines, bronze age burial ground, iron age hill fort, a roman mint, a tudor vantage point before it was investigated archeologically by the Victorians. Then onto Worthing for a drink and a swim! Option at this stage is to head back to London or go down to Worthing Pier and have a swim. *ps. My walks make time to enjoy the views, take in local history, and look at interesting buildings along the way.* **PROGRAMME** You can choose to **meet at London Victoria or the Hike Starting Point**. There are trains at 35mins and 55mins per hour (the latter trains at 55mins take much longer). The ancient Greeks called it **olbìa - ‘happiness’**. It is the gateway to the island and the driving force behind the economy of the Gallura area. Many flights arrive there, and it is a good town to stay in and explore before or after the trip. We will have 3 full days, and we will explore the following 3 places. **The National Park of Arcipelago di La Maddalena was** established in 1994. The park is a protected marine and terrestrial area off the northeastern coast of Sardinia, Italy. It comprises a group of granite islands and islets known for their **crystal-clear waters, unspoiled beaches, and rich marine biodiversity**. The park preserves important Mediterranean ecosystems and is valued both for its natural beauty and its role in marine conservation. **Capo Testa** is a striking rocky promontory in northern Sardinia, near Santa Teresa Gallura, renowned for its **dramatic granite formations** sculpted by wind and sea. Surrounded by **clear turquoise waters**, it features small coves, beaches, and **panoramic views toward Corsica**. The area is valued for its natural scenery, coastal hiking paths, and unique geological landscape. We shall swim during our lunch. **Bonifacio** is a historic town at the southern tip of Corsica, France, **dramatically perched on white limestone cliffs** overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio. Known for its **medieval citadel**, narrow streets, and natural harbour, it offers a distinctive blend of cultural heritage and **striking coastal scenery**. The surrounding area is also notable for sea caves, cliffs, and protected marine environments. There are a few ferries a day, going across the strait; it takes about an hour. The exact itinerary will feature the highlights listed above and will be shared with attendees closer to the day. Every day is planned with care and adjusted according to the most recent weather forecast. **LOCATION** We will be based in **Santa Teresa Gallura**. It is a coastal town in northern Sardinia, located near the Strait of Bonifacio. It is famous for its white-sand beaches, clear waters, and a lively town centre dominated by the Spanish-era Longonsardo Tower. **Spiaggia Rena Bianca beach** is a stunning stretch of powder-white sand in the heart of Santa Teresa Gallura, celebrated for its **luminous turquoise waters and exceptional clarity**.
