This session chronicles a six-month odyssey through the unknown, transforming a vulnerable period of professional upheaval into a practical, comedic survival guide. **What you’ll hear:** ✨ **How not to panic:** How to steady your ship when the corporate ground disappears beneath you ✨ **What to pack:** Cultivating the core resilience and mindsets needed to navigate sudden career transitions ✨ **Deploying your networking Babel Fish:** Translating your experience into a language the market actually understands ✨ **Navigating the bureaucratic nebula:** Managing the identity shift, the job search logistics, and the administrative void without losing your sanity ✨ **Embarking on your next chapter:** Turning an unexpected full stop into a launching pad for a career that actually fits your trajectory As long as you're packing resilience to brace the knocks (and your sense of humour), you’ll never truly be lost in space. A vulnerable, funny, and no-BS roadmap to surviving the void and finding your way back to solid ground. **👍🏼 The Speaker** ✨ **Alex Clarke** is a Product and UX designer with over 8 years of experience, who after spending years building a successful professional track record, found himself facing the ultimate corporate plot twist: sudden redundancy. Spiritual Bypassing — Awakening Can't Fix What You Refuse to See
Sun, Jun 14, 5:00 AMSpiritual bypassing is when your practice becomes a way of avoiding what it was meant to meet. It creates a gap between the awakening that was promised and the life that's still here. The tricky part is that it's difficult to spot. The practice still looks spiritual on the surface. You meditate. You speak about awareness and surrender. Yet the same fear, restlessness and loneliness remain untouched. **What You'll Discover:** In this talk you'll discover what spiritual bypassing actually is, how it hides inside long-term practice, and how to tell the difference between spirituality that integrates and spirituality that avoids. **Schedule** * Talk by Rajiv followed by open Q&A * Guided Meditation * Spiritual networking. Make friends with others on the spiritual path **About Rajiv** Rajiv dedicated years of his life seeking enlightenment. His pursuit for truth, reality, emptiness and self-discovery took him through the profound depths of mysticism. He meditated 14 hours a day, stayed with monks, lived in the Himalayan caves, learned from wise sages and researched every major spiritual system, including Zen, Non-Duality, Yoga, Buddhism etc. Then one momentous morning in 2005, he experienced his first shift into higher states of consciousness, an inner spiritual awakening. This was followed by days of infinite ecstasy and bliss. Finally, the years of seeking culminated and he realised his own true nature. He now shares his deep insights to help seekers progress on the path of awakening & meditation. His approach is secular, based on personal experience. You can read about his spiritual journey here — [https://innerspiritualawakening.com/rajiv-agarwal/my-journey/](https://innerspiritualawakening.com/rajiv-agarwal/my-journey/) **Venue** Kathleen Syme Library 251 Faraday Street, Carlton, VIC We will be in Multipurpose Room 1. True Tao
Sat, Jun 13, 9:30 AMWhat is the **True Tao**? Is Tao merely a Chinese religion, a cultural tradition, or a philosophy from ancient China? Or does the word “Tao” point to something far deeper — a universal source beyond name, form, culture, and belief? In this introductory Tao Seeker session, we will explore the meaning of **True Tao** as the universal origin behind all existence — the nameless source described by Lao Tzu in Chapter 25 of the *Tao Te Ching*: > “There was something amorphous, coming into existence before Heaven and Earth… > I do not know its name, and I designate it by the term Dao.” Over time, the word “Tao” has often become associated with Taoism as a religion, together with its cultural practices, rituals, symbols, and traditions. While these traditions have their own value, Tao Seeker invites us to look beyond the outer form and return to the original essence that Lao Tzu was pointing towards. This session will ask: What did Lao Tzu truly mean by Tao? How is True Tao different from religious Taoism? Can Tao be understood as the same universal truth that saints, sages, Buddhas, prophets, and spiritual teachers have pointed to throughout history? What is the original intention behind spiritual teachings — worship, dependency, or awakening? Through open reflection and discussion, we will explore how True Tao may sit beyond religious and cultural boundaries, while still resonating with the deeper essence of Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Taoism, and other wisdom traditions. This is not a session about rejecting religion. Rather, it is an invitation to seek the truth behind religion, the wisdom behind scripture, and the living Tao within ourselves. Tao Seeker is a space for sincere spiritual exploration, open conversation, and personal cultivation. Whether you come from a religious background, a philosophical interest, or simply a curiosity about life, consciousness, and the source of existence, you are welcome to join us. Together, we seek beyond form, beyond culture, beyond belief — and return to the True Tao within. **There are no limits to the number of people able to join.** **https://teams.live.com/meet/9383471770838?p=ujL7j36je0RKgYiNWY**
