FinOps User Group First Meet

FinOps User Group First Meet

Thu, Sep 24, 4:00 PM
From Lens London FinOps User Group

We're kicking off the first Lens FinOps get-together, a chance for members of the group to meet in person, share what they're working on, and talk shop on FinOps. **On the day:** * Meet and greet. Come introduce yourself and get to know the rest of the group. * Overview of what was announced at Tokenomicon the day before in Amsterdam. * Challenge Clinic. With minds from all over the FinOps space in the same room, it makes sense to share the biggest challenges we're trying to solve. There's a decent chance someone in the room will have some useful insight. Don't be shy to raise any issues you're having, and don't be afraid to speak up if you think you can help. * Roundtable discussion: SaaS FinOps. Bring your questions and anything you're willing to share with the group. **Dinner:** for anyone who'd like to keep the conversation going, we'll head to The Rajasthan locally afterwards. If you are likely to be attending the dinner please message in the group and we will reserve the right amount of space. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

We’re delighted to be hosting this event with the support of our new LJC partners, Vonage. We’re excited to welcome Vonage to the LJC community and look forward to working together to create more opportunities for the Java community to connect, share knowledge and shape the future of the ecosystem. This informal, discussion-led evening is an opportunity to share ideas, explore the topics shaping the Java ecosystem and hear directly from leaders helping to influence the future of Java. **Special Guest Speaker: Heather VanCura** We’re delighted to welcome Heather VanCura, Vice President at Oracle and Chairperson of the Java Community Process (JCP), who will open the evening with a short talk about the JCP and the wider Java Community — providing inspiration and context for our roundtable discussions. Heather will also explore some of the key JCP working groups and areas of community collaboration, including: * Java in Education – supporting the next generation of Java developers and exploring how Java can continue to play a role in education. * The Java Ecosystem – collaboration across the community and the wider ecosystem that keeps Java evolving. * Java & AI – exploring the opportunities, challenges and community conversations around Java and the rapidly developing world of AI. There will be plenty of time to dive deeper into these topics, share your own experiences and discuss where the Java community should focus next. **About Heather VanCura** Heather VanCura is a seasoned global business executive with more than 20 years of experience driving brand and shareholder value. She is Senior Director and Chairperson of the Java Community Process (JCP), where she leads collaboration among major technology companies including Amazon, Google, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and others on Java standards.
