We’re reserving a table for 6 who want to meet new people, share easy conversation and good food. **What to expect:** Brunch at 12:30, six seats, and a leisurely Sunday. Indoor seating. **Who this is for:** You like good atmosphere, even better company, and a Sunday that feels restorative. **To reserve your spot:** All RSVPs start on the waitlist. Once you receive my direct message, your spot is confirmed after your deposit is received. There’s a $20 deposit via Venmo to secure your seat—fully refunded when you show up, or if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead. Spots without a deposit are released after 24 hours so we can open them to others. Small groups only work when everyone shows up. The deposit is just our way of making sure we’re all in. 2nd Solar Eclipse Enthusiasts Social 🌒 Stories & Future Adventures

2nd Solar Eclipse Enthusiasts Social 🌒 Stories & Future Adventures

Tue, Oct 27, 1:30 AM
From Bay Area Solar Eclipse Fans

Some people see a **total solar eclipse** once and immediately start chasing their next one. Others are still wondering whether travelling all that way for a few minutes of the Sun's corona is worth it. Both are welcome. Join us at **Tempest** in San Francisco for a relaxed evening of drinks, food, eclipse stories and travel plans. Whether you witnessed totality in 2017, 2024, or 2026, have chased the Moon’s shadow around the world, or haven’t experienced your first yet, come satisfy your curiosity. I watched this year’s eclipse in Spain, and I am planning to see one again on **August 2, 2027** and **22nd July 2028**. I’d love to hear your experiences, questions, and plans too and help you decide whether Benghazi, Luxor, or Mecca are worth it or if there are easier destinations. 📍 Tempest, **431 Natoma Street**, San Francisco 🚆 Approximately 6–8 minutes’ walk from **Powell Street BART** 📅 Monday, October 26, 2026 🕡 6:30–9 p.m. What to expect: • Casual conversation over drinks and optional food • Eclipse photos and videos shared on our phones • Travel tips, future plans, and potentially new eclipse-chasing friends • No presentation and no expertise required We’re keeping this gathering to **12 people** total, including the host. Please RSVP and update your response if you can no longer attend so someone else can take your spot. Everyone covers their own food and drinks. Please bring valid photo ID for the bar. This is an **enthusiasts’ social**, not an eclipse viewing event. Come curious, leave with the best reason on planet Earth to travel and experience this life-changing phenomenon!

RSVP for Best of the Bay Business Referral Exchange!

Wed, Oct 28, 2:45 PM
From Best of the Bay Business Referral Exchange
5.0

We meet almost every Wednesday of the year; if we are "dark" for any reason (usually limited to Christmas and New Year's Day weeks, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and sometimes the 4th of July week), you will be told as a response to your RSVP. We recently started meeting in person the 1st Wednesday of each month in downtown Oakland at an "Oakstop" location at 1721 Broadway #201 (street level; doors face sidewalk on Broadway). Metered on street parking (you can pre-pay before 8am, which is when charging for time actually begins; most close-by metered spaces are limited to 60 minutes though it might be possible to extend time via a parking app). There are also parking lots in the area. On all other Wednesdays each month we meet online via Zoom. When you RSVP for a meeting after your request to meet with us has been approved, or at the time of your initial request, please include a short description of your business and also include your contact information in case we need to reach you before the meeting. You can attend our chapter twice as a visitor (this Meetup group seeks to find visitors to our group as a first step toward formally joining Best of the Bay) before submitting a formal application to join. Please also let us know how many guests you want to bring and tell us something about what is/are their professions.
