Join **Women of Culture, CURA Art and Ackerman Studios** on **Sunday June 7th** for a private, invitation-only afternoon of art, culture, and connection at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel. **[To attend, complete registration here](https://luma.com/lfzn6c8i)** This special Los Angeles gathering will feature a curator-led walk-through of ***Susan Vecsey and Yvonne Thomas: [A Conversation on Color](https://www.dorchestercollection.com/los-angeles/the-beverly-hills-hotel/art?utm_source=luma)*** with The Beverly Hills Hotel curators **Lily Ackerman** of Ackerman Studios and **Liza Shapiro** of CURA Art. Presented by Berry Campbell Gallery in collaboration with CURA Art and Ackerman Studios, the exhibition brings together two extraordinary artists across generations in a striking exploration of color, abstraction, mood, and visual rhythm. Blending Susan Vecsey’s luminous, meditative compositions inspired by landscape and light with Yvonne Thomas’ bold and expressive postwar abstractions, the exhibition creates a fascinating dialogue between contemporary and historic approaches to color and form. Guests will gain unique insight into the artistic vision behind the exhibition while experiencing the works in an intimate and conversational setting usually reserved only for hotel guests. Following the tour, we’ll gather for drinks and bites on the hotel grounds — an elegant and timeless backdrop for meaningful conversation, new connections, and a quintessential Los Angeles afternoon. Thoughtfully curated for women who love art, beauty, design, and intellectually enriching experiences, this event offers the perfect blend of cultural discovery and social connection. **What makes it special:** * A rare opportunity to experience a private, curator-led walkthrough of a stunning exhibit set in an iconic location * An intimate, invitation-only opportunity to meet fellow intellectually curious women with a creative soul **Event Details:** Sunday, June 7th **3:00 PM** \| Private Exhibition Tour **4:00 PM** \| Drinks\, bites & conversation on the hotel grounds **Location:** the Beverly Hills Hotel 9641 Sunset Boulevard \| Beverly Hills\, CA **[To attend, complete registration here](https://luma.com/lfzn6c8i)** **Admission:** Complimentary to attend by invitation only. *One complimentary welcome drink included; all additional drinks and food to be purchased and paid separately on-site.* **Note about tickets/ RSVP's:** * RSVPs on Meetup do NOT count as official registrations for this event, and the RSVP count on Meetup may not reflect the actual number of attendees. Build a Creative Life That Pays: The Art Career Blueprint That AI Can’t Replace

Build a Creative Life That Pays: The Art Career Blueprint That AI Can’t Replace

If you are an art major, a college student, recently laid off, or quietly wondering what your next move should be, this workshop is for you. In this meetup workshop, you gain access to 20+ years of real classroom experience and practical knowledge about building a stable, fulfilling, and well-paid career in art education. This is not theory or vague inspiration. It is clear guidance on how to teach at public schools, private schools, and the college level, what degrees you actually need, what credentials matter, how hiring works, and how to position yourself to stand out. If you are serious about your future, this is a shortcut. If you are simply curious, it may open a door you did not know was possible. Teaching art is not a backup plan; it is one of the most meaningful and future-secure paths an artist can take. Students need mentors, not algorithms. Schools need leaders who can build programs, inspire confidence, and create a real studio culture. This workshop also breaks down how to expand beyond the classroom through private lessons, selling artwork, online content, crowdfunding, and other art-based income streams. You will walk away with clarity, direction, and a realistic roadmap. For the price of a dinner out, you can gain insight that took two decades to build. Whether you are exploring or fully committed, this is an opportunity worth stepping into.
