FULL - The Great London Food Dash | 4th Anniversary Event
Gilt of Cain Statue, Fen Court Garden, Hogarth Ct, EC3M 5DL, London, GBOn Friday 14th November, The Great Friendship Project turns Four!
Yep that's right - four years ago, on a chilly Sunday afternoon in Hampstead Heath, twelve strangers showed up for our very first social walk.
Since then, we’ve hosted over 600 activities across London, from games nights and picnics to silent discos to help build friendships in a city, that doesn’t always make it easy to connect.
And to celebrate our 4th anniversary, and to coincide with World Kindness Day the day before, we’re marking the occasion with something a little different: our very first Great London Food Dash.
Inspired by the TV show "Supermarket Sweep", it’s a city-wide, fast-paced challenge where teams race across London to collect urgently needed items for local food banks.
Each team will be tasked with tracking down specific items requested by food banks, from toiletries and household essentials to tinned foods and dry goods - with every item carrying a points value based on its cost, weight and urgency.
To help you along the way, each team will have a shared fund, boosted by vouchers kindly donated by Sainsbury’s, which you'll be able by visiting pubs (aka Donation Checkpoints) and ordering a couple of drinks (inc. soft drinks) between your team to unlock them.
Each checkpoint will only have a limited number, so you'll be competing against other teams to get them and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Over the evening, there’ll also be spontaneous speed challenges throughout the evening, offering bonus vouchers for teams quick (and creative) enough to complete them first.
And then when time’s up, we’ll all regroup at a pub to tally the scores, hand out prizes and raise a glass to four years of friendship and community.
It should be a really fun night and a lovely way to celebrate this milestone and so hopefully you can join us for this!

ATTENDANCE FEE
Whilst the event is free to attend, you are asked to bring a £5 donation to contribute to your team's present fund and so please do come with your cash donation on the day.

FULL - Puppy Cuddles & Playtime | London 20s and 30s
The Rosy Hue Pub, 6 Ash Ave, Elephant and Castle, London, GBWe don’t do boring Wednesdays, so on 19th November, we’re excited to be hosting the perfect activity night to brighten up your work week!
Yep and for this latest edition, we’ll be heading for our latest Puppy Therapy Night!
To kick things off, we'll be heading to a nearby pub to give you a chance to get to know your fellow 20s and 30s, before we head over to meet the pups!
If you haven’t tried this before, Puppy Therapy is a facilitated session filled with cuddles and playtime with puppies - guaranteed to lift your spirits and melt your heart.
Studies show that playing with puppies can boost levels of serotonin and dopamine, helping to calm and relax us.
At the same time, introducing puppies to new people and playful interactions is a wonderful way for them to develop their social skills.
Over the evening, you’ll have plenty of chance to cuddle and play with the puppies in a safe, facilitated space, complete with toys and treats to help you connect with them.
And so it’ll be a perfect chance to make lots of new friends - both the human and puppy kind!
While puppy therapy experiences in the city can normally cost £35+ per person, we’ve scored a fantastic deal - so you can enjoy the whole evening of puppy love for just £19.35pp!
It should be a really enjoyable night but as always, places are limited and so do nab yours ASAP to avoid missing out!

Friday Night Karaoke Party | London 20s and 30s
George, 75 Borough High Street, London, GBIt's here again! On Friday 21st November - we're hugely excited to be once again hosting one of our famous karaoke parties.
Yep that’s right, after a number of requests since our last Karaoke night in September, we'll be heading for another special evening of social drinks and great tunes.
And for this latest Karaoke adventure, we'll once again be heading to the Old School Yard in London Bridge, so you can sing your heart out with plenty of 20s and 30s.
So that you can warm up your singing voice and get to know those you will be singing with later on in the evening a little better, we've booked out a private room at a nearby pub.
When we've had chance to have a few drinks and form our own bands, we'll then head across to the Old School Yard to sing the night away.
Their karaoke rooms offer a number of microphones and thousands of songs from which to choose, from pop classics, to famous dance anthems.
So there'll be plenty for you to sing along to, as well as plenty of 20s and 30s to make the night memorable.
Best of all, the first places for the party are completely free for those who RSVP quick enough!
Singers of all standards are welcome, whether you're tone deaf or a professional performer, we’d love to have you join us for what is sure to be a really enjoyable night.
