## Pawaget Park Meadow Restoration
## Restoring Pawaget Park back into an open meadow. This will increase biodiversity, pollinator activity and reduce ticks. We are working with Town of Charlestown, Charlestown Parks and Recreation with Westerly Land Trust potentially chipping in on Tuesdays.
## Join or leave any time.
## Meet up activities: Chopping down, lopping, trimming, piling invasive shrubs, vines and weeds. No experience needed! We will teach you. Call 401-600-1954 if you are lost.
No work if there is rain/snow. We can work in a layer of snow.
No work if temperatures below 35F or windy.
What to bring:
Water, food, shovels, loppers, handsaws, pruners, Sawzaw, Chainsaw, a backpack, gloves, work shoes, durable clothing, winter gear.
Removal of:
Autumn olive
Bush honeysuckle
Multiflora rose
Dense stands of Blueberry, Sumac, Viburnum, Juniper, etc
