What we’re about
This is a group for the introverts of the area to get together, have some fun, and make new friends. We have some regularly monthly scheduled events like games World Dining Series, Bite Size Bills, Karaoke, Escape Rooms, Feed My Starving Children, and other events are scheduled as we find interesting things to do during the year.
A few rules to follow:
- This is not a dating group. We're here for friends and fun; this is not OK Cupid. :) Please conduct yourself in a mature manner, and any harassment or inappropriate behavior by members will result in being expelled from the group.
- We want everyone to feel welcome. Racist and sexist remarks, hate speech, and/or purposefully making people uncomfortable will not be tolerated.
- Please only RSVP for meetups that you plan to attend.
- If you did RSVP for a meetup that you are not able to attend, please update your RSVP no less than 24 hours before the scheduled event to allow the organizer to update plans and to allow any who might be on a waiting list to be notified that there is room in the event for them.
- Failing to do so, will result in consequences per the event hosts discretion.
- If you are arriving late, please alert the host as soon as possible.
Rules are subject to change without notice.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a nonprofit with the goal of eradicating childhood poverty around the globe. They distribute thousands and thousands of pounds of nutritious meal packs to hungry children all over the world, and we get to help pack those meals!
I'm excited to meet everyone who is able to make it and help make an impact in the world for getting a chance to volunteer.

- Stargazing ✨at the Henize Observatory 🔭Karl G. Henize Observatory, Palatine, IL
Henize Observatory at Harper College in Palatine contains one of the largest public telescopes in the Chicago area. They are once again open every other Friday night for public observing.
In addition to the large telescope in the dome, several smaller telescopes will be set up. Several astronomers will be there to give us a tour of the fall sky.
Usual targets include the moon, planets, nebula, star clusters, and galaxies.
Drop by, look through a telescope, and prepare to be awed.
Free Community Viewing Sessions
Experience the wonder of the universe and the excitement of discovery. Not only can you observe objects near and far, but volunteers provide interpretation of what you're seeing. Observatory events are free and open to the community.Tips for first time visitors:
- Admission is free, however we ask that you please sign in.
- Plan on staying about an hour. There are often lines for our telescopes.
- Visitors climb a 7-foot tall ladder to reach our main telescope. We also operate several telescopes at ground level.
- Wear comfortable, close-toed shoes. You may be standing in lines and climbing a ladder.
- Dress for the weather. The observatory is not heated and it can get chilly at night.
There are no restrooms or water fountains at the observatory.
We can't see anything if it is cloudy, but we may stay open just in case it clears up.
- The observatory will not be open in rain or inclement weather.

- I'll have my green laser pointer to point out any satellites visible that evening.
- As a courtesy to others, no bright flashlights (use red if possible), flash photography, and please turn off car headlights in the area.
