This Meetup is great for anyone who loves spending time outdoors. We will host a hike most Saturdays and Sundays. We will be hiking around Göteborg -- some short ones and some longer but all with a lot of fun :)

Dear hikers,
Join Trail Less Traveled for a peaceful overnight hike and campout to witness the Perseid Meteor Shower, one of the most beautiful celestial shows of the year.
This outing is being organized independently and will take place in parallel to the public event by Hiking Around Göteborg.

Information: This year, peak activity will take place on a Tuesday, so we try to catch it a bit earlier for all those who are not on vacation. We will have a bright moon this year, but it will stay low on the horizon and so hopefully not interfere too much with our stargazing.

### 🌿 Plan:

Meet at Saltholmens brygga by 19:25 (for 19:35 ferry 283 to Brännö)

18-minute ferry ride, followed by an easy 45-minute walk to our campfire and stargazing spot (outside the nature reserve)

Set up camp, enjoy a barbecue dinner, gather around the campfire, and watch the meteor shower during its peak hours (approx. 01:00–04:00)

Sleep outdoors under the stars or in your tent

Return by ferry Sunday morning

### 🏕️ Camping Info:

Camping is informal and outside the nature reserve area. You may bring a tent, sleeping bag, blanket, or mat. Tent setup area is approx. 15-minute walk from the fire spot outside the nature reserve area.

### 🎒 What to Bring:

Sleeping gear (sleeping bag, mat, tent – if desired)

Dinner and breakfast (there's a grill on-site)

3–4 liters of water (no water source nearby)

Warm clothes, snacks, board/card games, flashlight/headlamp

Personal beverages

Feel free to carry some grill wood or charcoal if you'd like to contribute to the fire

And feel free to bring any other necessary items to make your night comfortable
