Welcome to the Creative Rize MeetUp group, brought to you by Creative Rize University.
We are a collective of professional independent Artists on a mission to build not just creative projects, but purposeful lives. Our core philosophy and approach is to create programs that blend the importance of vision, mental wellness, team building, project management and career planning into a holistic path to creative success.

We also aim to make learning media arts accessible, fun and affordable for underserved communities (such as women, youth, and low income adults) by providing FREE workshops, and affordable courses in Music, Podcasting, Graphic Design and more!

Whether you are an independent artist looking to upgrade your current skills OR you are an average person who just wants to explore your creative side for the first time, (without breaking the bank or quitting your day job - lol!), then The Creative Rize MeetUp group is for you.

With the support of local business sponsors, we intend to provide multiple FREE online workshops for beginners on an ongoing monthly basis. These "one & done" workshops, are super simple, but highly interactive entry level classes designed to fuel the fire of your creative curiosity, while building confidence in your ability to actually learn the fundamentals of industry standard tools such as Band Lab (for music), Canva (for graphics), and Spotify for Creators (for podcasting).

SAMPLE WORKSHOPS INCLUDE:
"Build Your Brand In A Day"
- Graphic design for digital and print with emphasis on creating essential Brand assets (logo, colors, fonts, templates etc.)
"Music Production 101"
- Beat making for beginners with emphasis on software basics using samples
"My First Podcast"
- Podcast production for the average joe with emphasis on software & platform basics

PLUS, if you want to dive deeper, you can sign up for 1 of our 4 - 8 week paid courses that are designed to help you become proficient in the tools we explore in the FREE workshops, AND have you complete / release your own full passion project by the end of the course.

But we believe, through the strength of creative community, we can all be empowered to UNLEASH our passions, ELEVATE our craft and THRIVE in our personal & professional Creative lives!

Our instructors Tygon Cowan and Henry llLion are seasoned veterans with over 20 years of combined experience in Music Production, Book Publishing, Video & film production, Podcasting and Graphic Design for web / print. In addition to their own freelance work for individual clients over the years, they have also facilitated workshops and provided on-going creative services for Arts Etobicoke, Apple Retail, and The National Dance Competition of Canada.
