We’re all about making the outdoors (and Seattle) feel more welcoming, whether you're brand new to the area or just looking for your people.
We host a variety of events -many free, some ticketed- but open to everyone. And if you’re loving the vibe, becoming a member gives you access to even more: think group hikes, bike rides, paddling trips, climbing, gear rentals, coffee discounts, and a growing community of outdoor-lovers just like you. If you’ve ever felt like building community in Seattle is hard -or that the outdoors isn't for you- you’re not alone. That’s exactly what we’re here to change. Gearhouse is Seattle’s most welcoming, least intimidating way to get outside. We’re here for people of all experience levels, backgrounds, and abilities. Whether it’s your first hike or 100th, we’ve got your back, with events, gear, and a whole crew ready to explore with you.
