What we’re about
We are a sub-group of the Rocky Mountain AI Interest Group focused on the Fort Collins area.
Our emphasis is on creating an inclusive space and bringing diverse perspectives regarding AI as it affects key facets of the Fort Collins Community, as well as society in general. Whether you are a seasoned AI engineer, or trying to find out what AI even is, we endeavor to create a space where all are welcome.

More about the Event:
Ever wanted to show the community the cool AI application you’ve been hacking on? Now’s your chance! Fort Collins AI for Everyone (FoCo AI) is hosting a rapid-fire community demo day.
This event is perfect for those what are curious what others are building with generative AI, or otherwise just interested in hearing semi-techy conversation on the technology.
Inspired by Junaid and his Denver-Boulder AI Tinkerers group (check them out and stop by one of their events!!), our goal is to share what works, discuss what’s been challenging, and see what our local builders are up to.
If you’re ready to show off your project, we want to hear from you! Reach out with a short description (3-5 sentences, please...) of your application. Estimated ~6 slots for demos. Deadline is Wed, January 14. We will not be accepting demos live at the event.
👉 Email: andres@redmage.cc 👉 Subject Line: "DEMO GOAT"
Format:
- 10 minutes of presenting + 5 minutes of Q&A for each demo. Can be slides, a live demo, whatever makes the most sense for where you're at. Bring your own device with associated HDMI hookups.
- It would be helpful to discuss what you built (or are building), why it matters, what successes you've had, what challenges you've had, etc.
- Most of all: be candid! If something majorly didn't work, that might help others avoid the problem in the future.
- Priority is given to individual builders and hobbyists over corporate product pitches. New faces welcome as well!
- Keep in mind your audience. Most of our event goers are enthusiasts but not necessarily tech wizards. Explanation of concepts will go a long way if you're doing something of particular complexity.
- We're aiming for a wide breadth of applications so we can explore different industries and use cases. If we get 6 different demos for a real estate software as a service, for example, we will unfortunately need to pare it down to 1 for the event.
