Florence Photography Club

Hello Photographers! We are scheduling another free photography event on portrait photography! Ever wanted to take better photos of people, or maybe you are a bit shy in front of the camera? This event is a great way to learn something new and meet people who share a passion for photography!

This in person event is for people at all levels who want to improve their photography, meet likeminded people and just enjoy the city!
This time we are meeting at 15:00 on Sunday the 23th of November at the Tepidarium Giacomo Roster. The gardens there and a nearby underpass covered in graffiti will make for some cool backdrops for our models… you guys!

Bring your camera and a big smile. This event is free, but will be limited to 20 people. We will finish up with an Aperitivo! Please RSVP.

Hello everyone! We are scheduling a free photography course on lenses! This group is all about learning about photography and meeting likeminded people who share an interest in this great hobby.

What you can expect in this group is a mix of theory and practical meetups. The future planned events are intended to be sequential but don’t worry if you miss one, they will be rolling.

In this course we are focusing on lenses and their uses and effects. There will be about 60mins of slides and explanation followed by discussion. You can expect to learn all about focal length, angle of view, depth of field, common terms and issues. Do you know what an ultrawide angle is? What about tilt-shift? We are going to cover all the good stuff.

It does not matter what type of camera you have or at what level you are, this is all about the fundamentals, lens types and “how to” examples and much more. The event will be on Zoom.

What you can expect in this group is a mix of theory and practical meetups. The future planned events are intended to be sequential but don’t worry if you miss one, they will be rolling.

In this session we are focusing on composition. This is definitely one of the hardest topics in photography to do well. There will be about 60mins of slides and explanation followed by discussion. You can expect to learn all about the basic rules, angles, managing lines, positive and negative space, framing, elements and much more. We are going to cover all the good stuff and help you improve your framing.

It does not matter what type of camera you have or at what level you are, this session is good for people at all levels. The event will be on Zoom.
