About us

Calling all DFW foodies, food lovers and anyone that loves to dine out. Let's get together and eat good food and enjoy each other's company. We will dine at local neighborhood hole in the walls, fine dining establishments and every place in between. Looking forward to exploring the foodie scene in the Dallas- Fort Worth area with everyone one sip & bite at a time!

Group Decorum/Dynamics- Each Foodie group on Meetup operates in a way to allow the most members to have an optimal experience. In our group, the Host for the event will secure a reservation with the restaurant/venue, taking any restaurant/venue rules or limits into consideration. Events are generally posted several weeks, sometimes longer, for members to RSVP to attend the event. Take a moment to review the date & time of the event, the menu for the restaurant/venue, along with the event description before RSVP'ing to an event. Many times, events will have waitlists because there are many interested members. With the combination of waitlists and events being posted several weeks in advance, the host will request via email and message in the event comments asking members who RSVP'ed for the event (both Going and Waitlist) to confirm a few days prior; should a member no longer be able to attend, they can edit their status to not attending. This will help to ensure an accurate guest count when they confirm the RSVP with the restaurant (generally done 24 - 48h in advance of the reservation) and allow interested members from the Waitlist to attend. Therefore, any member who does not confirm their RSVP by the time requested by the host will be marked as "Not Attending." Members on the Waitlist must confirm with the host when requested; only those who confirm will be marked as attending if a seat becomes available.

At the time of the event, please plan to arrive ahead of the reservation time, 5-10 minutes is sufficient, to allow for timely seating. Please give updates if one is running late; traffic in the Metroplex often ruins the best laid plans. With that in mind, if you are running more than 10-15 minutes late, know that members who arrived on time may go ahead and begin ordering. However, as a courtesy for most events, we would ask that any member more than 25 minutes late forgo the event to avoid disruption of the experience for members whose service has already begun.

Thank you in advance and Happy Dining!
