Building Your First AI Agent
smu, Collins Executive Education Center, 3150 Binkley Ave, Dallas, TX 75205, Dallas, TX, USIn our “Building Your First AI Agent” workshop, led by Aamer Charania, Babar Bhatti, and Jeffrey Liu, you’ll get a practical, low-code, and hands-on introduction to what AI agents are, how they differ from chatbots and simple automation, and where they can create real value in modern organizations.
Together, the speakers will guide you through designing an agent around a realistic workflow, clarifying the key building blocks—goal, tools, data, guardrails, and evaluation—and walking through how to prototype and test an agent responsibly, without needing a deep technical background.
By the end of this session, you’ll walk away with a clear mental model for AI agents and a repeatable process you can apply to customer support, operations, analytics, and other high-impact business scenarios.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops to ensure interactive participation.
This event is hosted in partnership with Spears Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership at SMU. Learn more about Spears at smu.edu/spears
