What we’re about
## Our community
User groups having been running in the UK for over 10 years, starting with a user group for Dynamics CRM in 2011.
Since then, we have expanded in number and in scope, covering not just the traditional ‘CRM’ applications under Dynamics 365 but also the Microsoft Power Platform – Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Power Virtual Agents.
Our user groups provide an opportunity for users of Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform to get together, share their knowledge and get to know each other in a fun, open, and welcoming environment. Whatever your level of experience or how long you’ve been using the products, you’re welcome to our free meetings!
### Topics
The user group meetings cover all topics under the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform umbrella. We have talks on technical subjects such as development and solution architecture but also cover business perspectives as well, such as user adoption, managing change and business analysis.
### National user group
Our flagship all-day user groups – what we call the 'National' user groups – run several free all-day events per year. Each event offers 15+ sessions and typically attracts an audience of 150+ people. The events are held either in central London or Manchester.
### Regional user groups
Our regional user groups cover many areas of the UK. These meetings are typically held in the evening after a working day and have 2 or 3 speakers on topics related to Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.

Talk 1 - Building your Copilot Muscle - Zoe Wilson & Kevin McDonnell
In no time at all, Copilot has completely transformed the art of the possible for how we all work, bringing the leap forward in AI capabilities right into the everyday apps and services that we all use daily to get our work done. However, just turning these on is not enough. People need guidance and support to understand the potential, they need to build their Copilot muscle, developing new habits and practices that include these new features and capabilities, and then take these capabilities into all their apps, not just those in the Microsoft space. End users need to understand the differences of when to use Copilot and when they need to extend with agents. Microsoft Copilot’s power is surfaced to users in many different ways and this session will talk about a range that relates to the Copilots in Microsoft 365, Copilot Chat, Power Platform, and more, helping you to learn what to use when. Through live demos and overviews, our presenters will share the reality of these services, along with their experiences from customers, including small organisations right the way through to large enterprises. Whether you work in a large enterprise or work with SMBs, this session will give you the information you need to drive value from Copilot in your organisation.
By attending this session, you will:
* Understand the different apps and services where you can interact with Copilot and agents and why you would use them, including the licensing required.
* See practical examples of how to prompt across different Copilot services, and why context matters.
* Learn how you and your organisation can build your Copilot muscle effectively, wherever you are in the journey.

Birmingham D365PPUG - February 2026
Wesleyan, Colmore Circus Queensway, Birmingham, GBOur next in-person meeting of the year will take place on Thursday 5th February 2026 from 18:30 at the Wesleyan Building. Parking is available close by at the B4 Car Park or it’s a short walk from any city centre train station.
Presentation 1: Beyond the Bot: Human consultancy skills that AI can't touch (Speakers: Kayleigh Duddy & Lynsey Winchurch)
In a world where AI can build apps, write code, and automate workflows faster than ever, what’s left for us humans? Plenty…and it’s the stuff that truly matters!
Join us as we dive into the irreplaceable consultancy skills that set great Power Platform consultants up for success. We’ll explore the art of human connection, active listening, empathy, stakeholder wrangling, and the kind of strategic thinking that no algorithm can replicate. This isn’t about resisting AI, it’s about embracing what makes us uniquely valuable alongside it.
Whether you’re a seasoned consultant, a citizen developer, or just starting your journey in the D365 and Power Platform ecosystem, this session will leave you with:
- A fresh perspective on your role in an AI-augmented world
- Real-world examples of human-first consulting wins
- Practical tips to sharpen your emotional intelligence and client rapport
- A renewed sense of purpose in your career
Expect laughs, lightbulb moments, and maybe a few existential questions - but mostly, expect to walk away inspired and ready to lead with the one thing AI will never have: your humanity.
Presentation 2: The Human Hack: Rebooting consulting culture (Speakers: Ian Tweedie & Dan Barber)
This isn’t about tools, templates, frameworks, or even just the latest AI technologies it’s about people and mindset. In this honest and practical session, we explore how as consultants and delivery leads, we can rediscover and develop better consulting cultures in a world obsessed with tools and delivery speed.
Expect a candid conversation as two seasoned leaders in the Microsoft consulting community are interviewed by a fellow highly experienced leader. The session will be filled with, stories, audience Q&A, and actionable advice you can put straight into action back on your projects and in your teams. Bring your questions and get involved.
You’ll leave with new ways to:
- Sharpen your critical thinking skills and learn how to ask the right questions to get to the true root of a problem.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with clients by encouraging open communication, curiosity, and teamwork.
- Make sure your work delivers clear, measurable business value by considering its impact on people, processes, and technology.
If you’ve ever felt like your work was technically perfect but somehow missed the mark, this session will show you why and how to fix it. Take away new ways to think, lead, and consult that make your engagements more rewarding, your impact more visible, and your career genuinely fulfilling.
AI is driving a significant shift in the consulting landscape, encouraging a heightened focus on tools, templates, and frameworks risking the loss of the human experience and mindset. Don’t let yourself drift into transactional delivery. Join us to reclaim the mission, rebuild the mindset, and become the kind of consultant the industry desperately needs.
We strongly encourage you to arrive early to meet other user group members. We will be providing food and refreshments and you are welcome to stay afterwards for a chat!
We are always looking for people passionate about Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform to present at our events. If you would like to speak at any of our future events please register here.44 attendees
