Creative Photography Group

This month we're keeping things in nature and showing you around Broekpolder - a huge green escape right next to Vlaardingen. Expect open landscapes, winding paths, wildlife, and plenty of spots to shoot along the way. It's the kind of place where you can slow down a bit, explore, and just see what catches your eye.

You might also run into the Scottish Highlanders. Those big, shaggy, red-haired cows that roam freely through the area. They make for some great subjects if you keep a bit of distance and take your time.

We'll start together at the McCafé and make our way into the park as a group before kicking off the walk. There's no rush. We'll take breaks, wander, and there'll be space to shoot, chat, and explore at your own pace.

Schedule

• 13:00 — Meet at McCafé (Westlandseweg 280)
• 13:15 — Walk towards the park (±10 min)
• 13:25 — Start the photo walk
• 16:00 — Walk back together

On August 12th we're heading to Hoek van Holland for something rare: a partial solar eclipse, with over 90% of the sun covered at its peak.

We'll meet up before it starts so everyone can get set, talk through settings, and explore ideas together. Then we'll shoot as a group as the light slowly shifts into that late-evening eclipse glow. The total duration will be about 2 hours.

With nothing but the open sea on the horizon, we've got a clear, unobstructed view - hopefully some perfect conditions to really focus on the sky and the changing light.

Bring your gear, any (ND-)filters you've got, and a bit of patience. The hosts will be there to assist you with your photography and questions.
