About us
Are you craving deeper connections in life? Not only with other people, but within yourself, the environment around you, the physical world you live in, the infinite universe, or The Divine itself? Our hope is to create opportunities for you to experience the connections that will allow you to find more satisfaction and wholeness in your life.
Whether you feel it through your mind, your body, or inner being, deep connection eludes many of us, in part due to the noise of the distractions around us every day, like technology, social media, cultural expectations, schedules too busy to manage, and more, that can all dampen our ability to make the very connections we're craving for in our everyday lives.
Through mindful, meaningful, and spiritual conversations, we hope to create a better world for all of us, one small step at a time, and our Nurturing Spirit Retreats provide an opportunity for meditation, gentle yoga, deep relaxation, spiritual conversations, and learning.
We are inclusive and value each person and living being on the planet. For more information or to find a group near you, please contact Debra@CreatingConnection.ca
We look forward to meeting you!

🎤 PRESENTER SPOTLIGHT
Joshua Bennett | Saturday, October 17 • 4:00–5:00 p.m.
Joshua Bennett travels from Chennai, India, to join us in Vancouver for an in-person conversation about peace, justice, and ecological responsibility.
Drawing from his work with Community of Christ and with Dalit, Tribal, and Adivasi communities in India, Joshua will explore how communities that have been pushed to the margins are reclaiming their belonging and advocating for the dignity and worth of all people.
He will discuss efforts to challenge caste discrimination, including calls for land rights, political representation, and greater ecological responsibility.
With caste discrimination also affecting South Asian communities in Canada, this session invites us to consider how greater awareness can help create a more just and sustainable future—one where everyone has a voice in caring for our communities and our planet.***

And special guests!
When: 7pm Saturday October 17th
3333 Kaslo Street Vancouver“Everybody with a voice can sing, and everyone with a breath in their body can experience their divinity.” Deva Premal
Satsang is a Sanskrit word that describes a way of coming together in community to experience the pure truth and love that is beyond religion or culture.
It is not about performance or perfection. It is every voice remembering that singing is a universal language as ancient and natural as language itself. Singing together dissolves boundaries and opens our hearts to the silent truth that is beyond words.Doug and Vickie will share simple songs and chants from various spiritual traditions you can sing in your own space, from the silence of “Om” to a joyful “Alleluia”. Clap your hands with lively rhythms and the beat of a drum, and let soulful melodies guide you into the silence that connects our hearts as one united voice. Together we will create a vibration of peace to fill the world.
We welcome all voices, all cultures and all traditions.Watch for Vickie's book "A Lotus on Fire: How A Buddhist Monk Ignited My Heart".
