What we’re about
We meet on Thursdays from 7.30 to 9.30pm in the visitors’ centre at Astbury Mere Country Park, just outside Congleton, Cheshire.
We take a break during August and over the Christmas and New Year period.
Members volunteer to lead workshops where they bring a subject or theme for writing. They also act as chair for that evening.
The first Thursday of each month is usually given over alternately to Critic’s Night or Read-Around.
We also invite guest speakers, go out for poetry and theatre evenings as a group, present public readings and share readings and writing with other local like-minded groups.
First meeting free.
The subscription is £6/month, 12 months/year payable by standing order.
Under 18s in full time education are exempt from subscription and fees.
