About us

Do you want to get out of the house, try new things, and have fun meeting other friends your age? Come join us around Columbus for friendly, unique or exciting events at the coolest venues in town.
Here's what the group offers:

Activity - Our goal is to host at least 8 events per month, adding more as we discover new interests. Most events allow casual conversation in a fun environment. Even activities with music, games, or sports have social time built in.
Social Outlet - No more excuses to be home and bored.
Quality People - Members have to be approved. Singles and couples may join but you must have a membership with a current profile picture. Also, we charge a small yearly admin fee to help with meetup fees and costs managing so many events. (Note: all new members get a 30 day free trial before fees are required)
Friendship - Finding friends with common interests is encouraged. You must be in your 40s, 50s, or 60s to be a member of this Meetup.

As your organizer, I promise good communication and organized activities. In return, I ask that members keep their RSVPs current.

Distillery Tour & Tasting!

Come and visit Echo Spirits Distilling Co. in Grandview and get to Know Your Distiller! Visit an active craft distillery and learn how they make award-winning local spirits (esp. rum & bourbon)! Includes a tour and extensive tasting. THE TOUR BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 6:30PM
COST: $10.00 This is a ticketed event and reservations must be made beforehand! I have booked the time slot for our group and pre-paid for the EventBrite tickets + fee. NO REFUNDS. If you have to cancel, consider your ticket a donation to the Snack fund.
Distillery Notes: Spend a little over an hour with us as we take you through the distilling process and how Echo Spirits came to be. We'll guide you through an optional tasting to help you become a better spirits taster and introduce you to our products.
The goal is to have you come out of the tour more knowledgeable about spirits and to have a good time! Make sure you remember that this is an active manufacturing business and wear appropriate attire. It's hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and you need to watch your step.
AFTER TOUR: After our tour and tasting, we can order a drink from their eclectic menu, sit and chat.
PARKING: Around back of the building and on side streets.
FOOD: You can bring in your own or get takeout from Buffalo Wild Wings (next door) or Five Guys (across the street). NO FOOD ON TOURS. Must be consumed before or after tour.

Come hang out to shop + stroll through Old Worthington- an outdoor event along the green spaces and sidewalks downtown to kickoff the fall shopping season. Shops will be open, store fronts will be decorated and people will be out on the town ready to start spreading fall weather cheer!!
START: (6pm or earlier) at Le Chatelaine French Bakery & Bistro in the heart of it all. Grab a drink and sandwich to snack on as we walk.
NEXT: about 6:30pm, we'll take a stroll and shop merch and homemade food tents.
DINNER/DRINKS: I'd love to introduce you to a popular cafe, Joyas, along the stroll! We can also eat at Worthington Inn, Dewey's Pizza, or even back to Le Chatelaine. Some prefer a wine tasting at House Wine. (It will be too busy for us all to sit together anywhere so I'd recommend breaking into small groups)
PARKING: Free Public Parking behind City Hall, behind Joyas and street parking.

Come join us at Natalies in Grandview for a free Happy Hour show. The doors open at 5:00 pm. The show runs from 5:15 pm - 6:30 pm. There is no admission charge, but tips for the band are strongly encouraged. Plan to arrive by 6pm to enjoy the early show.
