About us

The Clear Creek Makerspace is one of Colorado’s largest makerspaces and among Metro Denver’s go-to destinations for hands-on DIY and creative expression. Located in the heart of Wheat Ridge, just 15 minutes from downtown Denver, we offer 7,500 square feet of space designed to help you make (almost) anything you can imagine!

What’s a makerspace? Just think of us as a gym for your creative muscles. We provide affordable access to high-tech tools that you might not have at home. Got a hankering to laser-etch your face onto toast? We’ve got you covered. Want to 3D print a realistic replica of your cat? Meow you’re talking. Itching to weld together a life-size metal T-Rex for your front yard? We’ll help you ignite that Jurassic spark.

So whether you’re exploring a new hobby, developing a prototype, scaling up a small business, or just want to attend a class to learn something new, there's a spot for you here. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create with us!

    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Turn your existing SVG artwork into a functional, printable keychain using Blender.
This beginner-friendly workshop focuses on working with flat vector designs, not full 3D modeling. Participants will import an SVG into Blender, clean up small artifacts, add depth, create a backing shape, and add a ring or hole for keychain attachment.
The workflow taught in this class is ideal for makerspaces and fabrication labs and can be reused for signs, tags, badges, and other simple 3D projects.
3D modeling has evolved from a niche skill to an essential tool across numerous fields. Today, it's not just limited to video games, movies, or architecture—it has found its place in industries as diverse as fashion design, healthcare, and even space exploration. Whether you're designing complex parts for machines, developing prototypes for new products, or creating virtual worlds for digital experiences, 3D modeling is the backbone of innovation. With software like Blender, anyone with a creative spark can dive into this world, creating everything from realistic character models to abstract sculptures that can be brought to life through 3D printing.
As 3D modeling continues to grow, it’s important to make it accessible to more people, regardless of their technical background. Programs like Blender are not only powerful but also open-source and free to use, making them an excellent starting point for beginners. By mastering the basics of 3D modeling, you can bring your ideas to life in the digital realm—whether you're crafting a custom design for 3D printing or building assets for virtual environments. With the right skills, the possibilities are endless, and the tools are at your fingertips. Whether for personal projects or professional work, 3D modeling opens doors to creative and practical applications that are shaping the future.

    What It's About:

Come be part of this supportive community of creators! Beginning experience with acrylic paint is suggested as this is a self-directed class, but all levels of skill are welcome!
