Volunteer @ Habitat for Humanity's Wilkinson ReStore

🏠🧹💖Come meet friendly faces and help organize this house-building and home-furnishing store! (We're not building a Habitat house; we'll be assisting at the store where they sell building materials and donated home furnishings.)
What to Expect:
📋Volunteers will help unload donated household items, organize and clean the donations, and place the items on the ReStore sales floor. Some recent duties included restocking new lights, rugs and mattresses, repackaging Christmas decorations and cleaning donated refrigerators. We might also be asked to assist customers with carry-outs after purchase.
💻Spots are limited so please register on Habitat Charlotte's Group Shift page. Here's how to do that:
- Start here --- https://habitatcharlotteregion.my.site.com/VolunteerGroupSearch -- and in the box next to "Search by Group Number", enter 7663 and click "Search".
- Select our group and on the "Volunteer Group Shift Search" page, select "Any Days" and "Search".
- Select the Jan. 17 shift. It will then ask you to sign in. You may need to create a user profile. (But it's super easy.)
- Also be sure to fill out the volunteer waiver: https://www.habitatcltregion.org/volunteer-waiver/
- I have a PDF with detailed instructions, so if you run into any trouble registering, please ping me (Sarah C.)!
🕘Arrive at the Wilkinson ReStore a little before 10:30 a.m. We'll get a quick tour and then get to work!
✅No experience necessary but participants must be at least 16 years old.
✅Sleeved shirts, closed-toe shoes and shorts that go past your fingertips required. Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty or dusty.
✅Gloves might be available, but bring your own if you have them.
