✅ Guided Hikes: Each hike has a dedicated walk leader, most often with experience of leading groups ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. However, not all our walk leaders are qualified and although you walk at your own risk, it is thought to be safer walking in groups than individually. Safety

Choo Choo , Thornton to Cullingworth
Bus no 607 at 09.20 from Bradford Interchange to Thornton , Ashfield Rd bus stop opp Vine Terrace . Get off Thorntons Vine Terrace just after centre. make way to just past and opposite the Great Northern Emporium Meeting point next to pelican crossing outside primary School. W3W ///trader.leaned.leaned , Thornton Primary School .walk starts at 09.50 . Thornton to Cullingworth
Distance 6.5 miles
Ascent 600ft
and ends approximately approximately 15.00.
Choo Choo - following the GNER Alpine lines .
We make a brief visit to the nearby Thornton Viaduct and then follow the line over the main road heading up past the White Horse Inn onto Bronte way west to Denholme Beck . We have a choice to go anti clockwise around Doe Park Reservoir or to follow the line more closely through what was the Station at Denholme . A little further on is Wilsden Station and Hewenden Reservoir . We can stop here for lunch as there are benches and viewpoints .We then traverse the magnificent Hewenden Viaduct and onto Cullingworth station over yet another viaduct.
Even though the line continues onto Keighley beyond Cullingworth it soon goes into a tunnel just beyond the beautiful Ellar carr area .
This is where we retrace our steps a little to return to Cullingworth centre where busses back to Thornton /Bradford leave from along with Bingley and Keighley bound busses .
NB It is very important that correct clothing is worn or carried on our walks, including waterproofs, woolly hats or sunhats, warm gloves and sturdy hiking boots, as we often walk on rough terrain. The walk leaders have the right to refuse to allow anybody not properly equipped to join the walk. Please come prepared. You will need a packed lunch and enough fluids, and you may need sun cream and insect repellent.

Langsett to Holme ( near Holmfirth )

Descent 1569ft
From the car park just after the Flouch Inn road junction ,we descend to the west end descend to the West end of Langsett Res..We follow Swindon Lane to Milton Lodge on the A628 .We then take a track Snow Road before dropping down to Winscar Res via Woodland Clough .We follow the east side of the Res up to Harden Res .A Track on the South of the Res up to Harden Res .
A track on the South side of the res takes us to Snaisden Res .We take a path west to reach Elbow End & Beehive Cairn standing above Ramsden Clough .
Here we pause to take in the magnificent Views .
As the old path down to the Clough is now dangerous we stay at the top and head North . At Crosskeys Plantation we take a track to join another track to Ramsden Clough .This takes us down to Ramsden Res .
We cross the res to follow a path to our destination the quant village of Holme .

Long Way to Holme
Langsett to Holme ( Near Holmfirth )

Ascent 1200ft
We start at Langsett and follow the path alongside Langsett Reservoir . Head North to link up with the Trans Pennine Way and follow to Dunford Bridge . Head north along Winscar Reservoir to Harden .Bear East through Harden Clough .Drop down Ramsden Edge . Not literally . Skirt edge of of Ridings Wood . Cross Brownhill Reservoir . arriving at Holme .
