About us
The Upper Bucks County/Lehigh Valley area has become a hotbed of activity in the beer and wine world in recent years and this group will explore this booming part of our local economy and culture.
There are more than 20 microbreweries in this region and more than 30 wineries. Brewpubs, craft beer bars and wine bars are also fair game for this group. We'll learn about the beer and wine-making process and of course get to sample the fruits of our local entrepreneurs' labors.
Expect monthly meetups, tours, tastings and just hanging out, making new friends and enjoying good times, and maybe some scenic views in the process. Whether you're into beer, wine or both, or just interested in exploring and getting to know the area better, this group is for you.
No dues, fees or cover charges, this is a fun thing for me, not a side hustle.

Friday Night Karaoke at Hill to Hill Grille in South Bethlehem
Hill to Hill Grille, 120 W 3rd St, Bethlehem, PA 18015, USA, Bethlehem, PA, USA little something different for this event as by popular demand we're going to try a little karaoke with our beer and wine at the Hill to Hill Grille in the Comfort Suites, South Bethlehem.
Meet starting at 6 p.m. for drinks and food, then bring your best singing voices for the karaoke starting at 7. It will also be Lorraine's debut as an event host. Space is limited, fun people only! ;-)

Nazareth Brewery Doubleheader
Nazareth Brew Co, 35 E Belvidere St, Nazareth, PA 18064, USA, Nazareth, PA, USThis meetup group is almost four years old, yet we've yet to visit that other Moravian Lehigh Valley town, Nazareth. Now that we have two breweries barely a block apart in the heart of downtown Nazareth, let's fix that.
We'll start off the day at the newer of the two breweries, Nazareth Brew Co. Opened just in July 2025, Nazareth Brew Co. has won acclaim for its diverse beer menu and elevated food menu. You can count on stout, lager, pilsner, pale ales, ESB, Belgian wit and hazy IPAs always being on tap there, along with plenty of seasonal options.
We'll plan to have lunch at this first stop. Then by mid-afternoon, we'll head around the corner to Nazareth's original brewery, Birthright Brewing Company, which opened in February 2018. Plenty of fruited sours, saisons and Berliners are usually on tap there, along with multiple IPAs. You can get food there as well if you're not able to join us for the first stop.
Should be a fun day to hit a couple of local breweries before the holiday season craziness starts.

St. Andrew's Day Dinner at Braveheart Highland Pub
Braveheart Highland Pub, 430 Main St, Hellertown, PA 18055, USA, Hellertown, PA, USSomething different this time, we're going to celebrate St. Andrew's Day, Scotland's official national day, with a Monday night dinner at the Lehigh Valley's premier Scottish pub, the Braveheart Highland Pub in Hellertown.
St. Andrew is Scotland's patron saint. The national flag of Scotland, known as the Saltire, with a white diagonal cross on a blue background, represents the crucifixion of St Andrew.
Tradition has it that the flag originated in a battle fought near the East Lothian village of Athelstaneford in AD 832, between an army of Picts and Scots under King Angus and a larger force of Saxons led by Athelstan. Fearing the outcome, King Angus led prayers for deliverance and was rewarded by seeing a cloud formation of a white Saltire against the blue sky.
The king vowed that if his troops won the battle, Andrew would thereafter be the patron saint of Scotland. The Scots did win, and the Saltire eventually became the flag of Scotland.
Or so the story goes. Today, St. Andrew's Day is a celebration of Scottish food, music and culture so we'll get in on the fun at the Braveheart. Because of the extraordinary response to this meetup, we will have to do a buffet dinner, featuring such Scottish favorites as shepherd's pie, Scottish fish and chips, and bangers and mash. Plus they have Belhaven Scottish Ale, Belhaven Black Scottish Stout, and Tennent's Lager on tap.
I can't think of a better way to spend a Monday night and kick off the holiday season.
