•OnlineOnline13 attendees from 18 groupsAre you ready to walk on the wild side?
Embrace your inner Norse goddess as you learn all about how to travel to Iceland, land of hot springs, glaciers, and the hypnotic shimmer of the Aurora Borealis (northern lights) in dark skies.
Iceland may be small - less than 400,000 inhabitants - but the terrain is mighty.
There is nothing quite like this volcanic, rugged, remote island that will have you humming Led Zepplin's Immigrant Song (yeah, it's about Iceland.)
What we will cover during this travel class:
- Timing? Why we like to go in the early spring.
- Packing.
- Gear for Icelandic weather.
- Thingvellir National Park in the Golden Circle and the Caves of Hella.
- Hot spring spas (is the Blue Lagoon worth it?).
- Getting there and around.
- Iceland’s many waterfalls, including Gulfoss and Seljalandsfoss.
- Money matters.
- Tracking the Aurora Borealis.
- Where we go in March 2026 (and why we think you should, too).
- Why we love all women trips and who comes on trips with us.
- And a Q&A sesh so you can ask us questions.

Women's Travel Book Club: Jan. 2026 Meeting
•OnlineOnline10 attendees from 18 groupsWelcome to our Women's Travel Book Club. This is an event sponsored by the travel group, Bold Spirit Travel.
We read books by women about travel and different cultures.
Join us to chat about the book Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey*.*
About the book:
Find the full review of this book here.
**Important: Only members with an Eventbrite ticket will be able to access this meeting. Your ticket is free, but you need to register to get it. This way, we keep our meetings small and safe. We are doing it this way, with tickets, due to past issues with non-members crashing our meetings. Thanks.
How our Travel Book Club works:
We meet online via Zoom to chat about our monthly book pick. We have a list of discussion questions for our group, and you can bring your own questions and comments too if you have some.
- The books we read are by women about travel or different cultures.
- Grab your drink of choice and join us for an hour to talk story and travel.
- Only guests with cameras on can attend. If your camera is not on, our host will remove you. This is to keep the group a safe space for all guests.
- You can recommend books you think we should read next.
- Please think of one question about the book for the group.
- Please read the book...or at least 1/2 of it! Please do not attend if you have not read the book. We talk about the book.
- This is a FREE event sponsored by Bold Spirit Travel. Learn more about Bold Spirit here: https://www.boldspirittravel.com/newsletter
