Serving a meal to the homeless with Black Philadelphia!

Looking for an opportunity to give back? What better way than to serve a meal to some of Philadelphia's citizens experiencing homelessness? This is the easiest service project, but volunteers must be 18 or older!

Anyone who will be participating must sign up online. Please do not just show up the day of and participate in the meal service. This is a landing page specifically for our group that will show only your reserved shift. PLEASE DO THIS IMMEDIATELY AFTER RSVPING.

This service event is for adults 18 years and older only, no exceptions. Meal service engages volunteers to plate food, hand trays out to guests coming to the trailer. DUE TO THE KITCHEN RENOVATIONS, WE WILL BE SERVING MEALS OUT OF THE WHITE TRAILER IN THE PARKING LOT.

Dress code
Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops allowed). Volunteers should wear pants and socks and shoes. Hairnets, aprons, and plastic gloves will be provided.

Parking
Their FREE PARKING LOT is on the north side of Vine Street West between 13th Street and Broad Street. Cross 13th Street, and make the next right into the parking lot between Roman Catholic High School and the facility. You will see the sign on the gate just before the entrance to the lot. If you hit Broad Street, you’ve gone too far.

Summer Wine Down!

Join me for a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Wine Down Summer Wine Festival. We will wrap up the summer with good vibes and samples from 10+ NJ wineries.

"This event has become New Jersey's Best End of the Summer Bash! Let the fabulous vintages found from the great southern wineries of New Jersey relax you as you sip, savor, and celebrate the last of the summer wines."

There's live music, food trucks, and wine samples!

I will be arriving at the location at 12:30pm, looking for a shady spot for us to sit. Bring a chair and a fan.

Cost:
Drinkers are $22, including fees
Non-Drinkers are $5
Guests under 21 are free
