Seattle Data AI & Security is bringing together cybersecurity professionals, AI engineers, developers, students, researchers, and technology professionals for AI Defense Lab 2026 — a hands-on hackathon focused on solving practical security challenges across cyber defense, fraud prevention, and offensive security.
As cyber threats become more sophisticated and AI increasingly changes both attack and defense strategies, organizations need new ways to detect threats, prevent digital fraud, protect identities, and identify vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them. This hackathon challenges participants to build practical solutions around these real-world security problems.Hackathon Format
Participants will work in teams and develop a solution within one of the available challenge tracks.📅 Hackathon Dates: Sep 24 - 26
📍 Format: Online
👥 Team Size: 2–5 participantsParticipants will build, test, and demonstrate their solutions, receive guidance from mentors, and have their projects evaluated by industry judges.
What Will You Work On?
Projects should address practical security challenges within one of the following areas:
Cyber Defense & Threat Response — detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats.
Fraud, Scam & Identity Defense — preventing deepfakes, impersonation, identity fraud, account takeover, payment scams, and social engineering.
Offensive Security & Red Teaming — identifying vulnerabilities, testing defenses, discovering attack paths, and validating security weaknesses.
Teams are encouraged to think creatively. The goal is to build something practical that can help detect, prevent, investigate, or expose real-world security threats.Why Participate?
The hackathon gives you an opportunity to work on real cybersecurity challenges while collaborating with other engineers, builders, and security professionals.
