AVL Digital Nomads has grown into the largest and most impactful remote work community in the country — and we're celebrating the way all good things should be celebrated: with beer, a food truck, and zero mandatory icebreaker games. You're welcome.

By the numbers (since you asked): 575 events. 18,000 attendee registrations. 70 organizers. Nearly 5,000 nomads and counting. $400M annual estimated employment income impact.

This community has never been run top-down by some committee in a boardroom. It's been built by you — the organizers, the regulars, the lurkers who finally showed up, and the newcomers who are about to discover their people.

Developers, designers, consultants, writers, founders, freelancers — somehow we all ended up in Asheville, chasing that life/work integration dream. Turns out, we're not alone. Not even close.

We're heading back to where it all started: Wedge Brewing on Foundy St. — our original stomping ground. Find us out back with picnic tables, name tags, and good vibes. A food truck will be onsite because celebrating on an empty stomach is a tragedy.

What this event is all about

This month we're stepping things up a notch. 😎

Classy Cocktails is heading to District 42, one of downtown Asheville's most elegant cocktail lounges, tucked inside the beautiful Hotel Arras. If you've been looking for an excuse to dust off your favorite date-night outfit, stylish blazer, fancy shoes, or that shirt you've been saving for "someday," this might just be it. 🍸✨

But this venue isn't just beautiful. It's steeped in Asheville history.

The name District 42 pays tribute to the original 42 lots that once occupied the corner of Broadway and Biltmore Avenue. The building itself has been part of Asheville's skyline for decades, evolving from the iconic Northwestern Bank Building to the BB&T Building and eventually becoming the stunning Hotel Arras we know today.

In other words, you'll be sipping craft cocktails in a place that has watched Asheville reinvent itself for generations. Not a bad backdrop for an evening of great conversation and questionable life decisions. 😏
