We'll talk JavaScript, static site architecture, transit data, accessibility, and the often invisible work required to make public-facing technology useful and reliable.
Along the way, we'll look at how the team used JavaScript to:
- Hook into a static build process and shape the site around real transit data
- Customize layouts with Pug templates and practical DOM techniques
- Improve map-heavy interfaces with accessible alternatives and text equivalents
This is not a "shiny new framework" talk. It is a look at solid web fundamentals, thoughtful architecture, and the real-world tradeoffs behind shipping software for a city service.
