About us

AI Leaders Romania is where Romania's business leaders and AI practitioners actually talk to each other: the people making AI decisions inside companies, and the people shipping real AI projects.

We meet in person in Bucharest on the first Thursday of every month at Let’s Talk AI: Flair, Cocktails & AI Chats!, an informal evening with drinks, no slides, no panels, no pitches. The meetup is free, forever.

What to expect at a meetup

A relaxed venue and hours of open conversation
The AI Leaders founding team in the room: production AI architects, AI product founders, EU AI Act policy advisors, ex-Microsoft AI leads. Come ask anything.
Small enough that you can actually talk to everyone
No "let me tell you about my company" moments

Who should come
If you make or influence AI decisions (founder, executive, director, product manager, team lead), you'll get the most out of it if you're asking things like: where do we start with AI? How do we move from experiments to something real? What does the EU AI Act mean for our business? What are other Romanian companies actually doing? No technical background needed.
If you build AI for a living (AI founders, ML/AI engineers, applied researchers, consultants shipping to production), you'll find peers doing serious work and the leaders adopting what you build. Practitioners with real projects, not theorists, not influencers.

How we keep it honest
AI Leaders Romania is a business, and we'd rather tell you that ourselves. This meetup is free and stays free. We earn from the AI Leaders Romania Club, a paid membership with live expert workshops, peer circles, and case clinics, sold on our website on its own merits. Nobody pitches you at the meetup: no stage selling, no sponsor talks, no cornering people by the bar. If the Club is good, you'll find it at https://ai-leaders.ro.

The team
A growing network of AI practitioners who run their own companies, bringing production AI architecture, AI product development, EU AI Act policy advisory, AI governance and responsible AI, enterprise AI adoption at scale (ex-Microsoft), digital strategy and go-to-market, and innovation and automation with humanoid robotics into the room. Founded by RO AI Labs, Sapio AI, SenecAI Consulting, Interactive Software, Smashing Point, Institute for Applied AI, and ADA AI Advisory.

The second AI Leaders Romania meetup. An informal evening in Bucharest with no slides, no panels, no pitches. Just drinks and conversation with the people in Romania actually working with AI, whether they're deploying it inside their companies or building it for a living.

Why we're doing this

We're putting together a community where the two crowds that should be talking to each other actually do: business leaders working through AI adoption, and the AI practitioners building what they end up using. Before we kick off the first formal seminars and workshops, we want to meet the people who'd actually show up. Hear what you're working on, where you're stuck, and what would be useful from a community like this.

Who should come

If you make or influence AI decisions in a company (founders, executives, directors, product managers, team leads), you'll get the most out of it if you're currently asking yourself things like:

Where should we start with AI?
How do we move from experimentation to something real?
What does EU AI Act mean for our business?
How are other companies in Romania approaching this?

You don't need a technical background. We focus on strategy, business impact, and leadership.
