What we’re about
If you love playing or just listening to the piano then our group is for you!
Whatever your ability, experience or musical style you'll be welcome. The idea is to provide a monthly opportunity to play to a friendly group of like-minded people. We have the use of a number of Manchester venues, all with excellent (9ft) grand pianos. The events will be informal, the aim being to increase performance confidence, have fun and meet new people. If you'd like to try a duet, bring it along!
Free refreshments included. There's also no requirement to play or even be a pianist, being part of the audience is a great encouragement to the players. Our events are once a month, typically on the the second Saturday.
It’s £7 to attend whether playing or an audience member, this covers to cover the venue rental, insurance and refreshments.

Join us at one of our Forsyth's mini-sessions February! These are an ideal opportunity for people who'd like to build confidence performing within a smaller group. It's also a good chance to try out longer pieces for those who'd like a bit more time.
We'll be in the basement workshop space and also be using the best Schimmel Concert Grand (Model K280) which is real treat! Everybody is welcome regardless of ability, experience or musical style.

February (Main Session) at Forsyths - Players and Audience Welcome
Forsyth Brothers Ltd, 126 Deansgate, M3 2GR, Manchester, GBAll welcome to our main February session at Forsyths on Deansgate. It's a lovely space and we're very grateful to the team at Forsyths for hosting us again! We'll be playing one of the fantastic Schimmel 280T concert grand pianos which is a superb opportunity for everyone.
Everybody is welcome to play regardless of ability, experience or musical style. If you'd prefer just to listen that's fine too. It's a great event to attend if you're thinking of returning to the piano or starting for the first. It's also a brilliant opportunity to meet some new friends!
*Important - For Players* - We've now extended the event by an extra 15mins to finish at 4.45pm to accommodate the expected players. We can't overrun beyond this and we'll plan the players list in advance, details to follow closer to the date . Once the time is fully allocated it won't be possible to add further performers. Players can have up to 6 mins of stage time by default for a single piece (inclusive of any spoken intro).
Audience and players welcome to get your ticket in advance via the link here as this will be a great help saving time at the start of the event. You can also pay on the door but advance booking is recommended.

We'll get started at 2:30pm, but you're welcome to turn up anytime from 1.45pm. Tea/Coffee and Biscuits included! There's also a 10% discount for attendees on all sheet music at Forsyths.
