Join us for outdoor Zen practice (weather permitting) followed by the Bultasa Temple picnic. We’ll meet at Bunker Hill forest preserve near Grove 3 at 10:00 am. Dress comfortably for sitting and picnic.
This is an experiential introduction to the various forms of Zen meditation. It is geared to help newcomers ease into the practice while providing some basic teachings to give them a taste of the simplicity and significance of the Zen path.
Bultasa Zen Group is a student-centered community led by a teacher with nearly 40 years of practice experience. He is assisted by three very caring and accomplished Dharma teachers-in-training.
We sit in the upstairs Dharma hall. Enter through the parking lot. Leave shoes on the landing between floors. Be sure to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes (please no short pants or crop tops in the temple.
Cash donations to the temple are much appreciated.
Join us for Zen meditation in the tradition of Korean Zen Master Seung Sahn. Beginners welcome. Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes (no short pants or crop tops please).
We practice in the 2nd floor meditation hall. Enter the building through parking lot entrance. Go upstairs. Leave shoes on landing. No fees, but we welcome donations to help support the temple. There's a donation box in the meditation hall.
Lunch with the Korean community follows at noon. Everyone is welcome.
